EXCEL SECOND FUNCTION

This method takes a Time and produces a value between 0 and 59 that represents the Second.

Syntax:

=SECOND (serial_number)

Parameter list:

serial number – a valid time in an Excel-compatible format.

Times can be entered as text (for example, “7:45 PM”) or as decimal values (for example, 0.5, which equals 12:00 PM).
Excel uses serial numbers to store dates and times. In Excel, the date January 1, 2000 12:00 PM corresponds to the serial number 32526.5. You can temporarily format a date or time as a number to see if Excel recognizes it correctly.
