The London Stock Market (LSE) is the largest stock exchange in Europe and the primary stock exchange in the United Kingdom. The regional exchanges, which date back over 300 years, were merged in 1973 to become the Stock Exchange of Great Britain and Ireland, which was later renamed the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
