BRIEF ABOUT INDICES (History)

The FTSE Euro 100 Record is comprised of the 100 biggest firms from the FTSE Eurofirst 300 Eurozone List that meet all requirements for incorporation in the index.

The FTSE Euro 100 File will be audited yearly in Spring, utilizing information from the end of business on Monday a month prior to the survey successful date, and will consider any constituent changes to the FTSE All-World Created Europe List.

FORMULA

The FTSE EURO 100 level is produced by combining the total market capitalization of the constituent companies and the index value. 3 Because total market capitalization fluctuates with individual share prices of the indexed companies throughout the trading day, the index value fluctuates as well.

TIMING

Monday through Friday, the FTSE EURO 100 opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 4.30 p.m. UK time (GMT). This corresponds to the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) opening and closing times. There is no lunch break during which trade is suspended.
