EXCEL CONVERT FUNCTION

The CONVERT function translates a number between different measuring systems. CONVERT may be used to convert feet to metres, pounds to kilogrammes, gallons to litres, and a variety of other unit conversions.

Syntax:

=CONVERT (number, from_unit, to_unit)

Parameter list:

  • number – numeric value that has to be converted.
  • the unit to be converted – the unit to be converted from.
  • to unit – the unit to which you’d want to convert.
