EXCEL ATANH FUNCTION

The Atanh function in Excel computes the inverse hyperbolic tangent of a given integer.

Syntax :

=ATANH ( number )

Parameters :

Where the number argument is a real number between (but not equal to) -1 and 1, the inverse hyperbolic tangent of which you wish to calculate the inverse hyperbolic tangent.

Example :

The Excel Atanh Function is shown in Column B of the spreadsheet below, and it is used to calculate the inverse hyperbolic tangent of three distinct values:

  • #NUM!-This error occurs if the provided number is -1 or 1.
  • #VALUE!-Occurs if the number parameter given is not recognised as a numeric value.
