The Dow Jones Asian Titans 50 Index is a market index composed of fifty blue chip Asia-Pacific stocks. The Index is comprised of 25 Japanese stocks and 25 non-Japanese stocks. Stocks are included based on their market capitalization, current net income, and current revenue. The Index is not as well-known as the S&P Asia 50, which is promoted by the amalgamated index firm of Dow Jones and S&P.
The Dow Jones Asian Titans 50 Index is a member of the same family that produces the popular Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA). Dow Jones recalculates its Titan indexes on an annual basis, with quarterly weighting revisions to account for changes in market capitalization among member stocks.
The index is weighted by float-adjusted market capitalization.
