EXCEL COTH FUNCTION

The Coth function in Excel computes the hyperbolic cotangent (coth) of a given angle.

Syntax:

=COTH(number)

Parameter:

  • The angle (in radians) for which you wish to compute the hyperbolic cotangent is specified in the number parameter. This number must be between -227 and +227.
If the number specified is zero, the Coth function returns the #DIV/0! error.

Step By Step Guide of COTH Function

Example :

The spreadsheet below depicts the Excel Coth Function, which was used to determine the hyperbolic cotangent of three distinct angles:

  • #DIV/0!
    – Happens if the provided number is equal to zero.
  • #NUM!
    – This happens if the provided value is less than -227 or larger than 227.
  • #VALUE!
    – Occurs if the number parameter given is not recognised as a numeric value.
